Glenis.

Today I am a very happy person…….

My name is Glenis .  I gave my heart to Jesus on November 19th, 1991. I was on my way to Rosarito Beach and under the influence of drugs at the time of my conversion. I said a simple prayer, asked Jesus into my heart, and the Lord delivered me and set me free from a life of brokenness and pain.

He broke a thirteen year addiction to drugs, alcohol, and promiscuity. My life was never the same. He gave me hope and a brand new start. I had tried for many years to change my life. I knew I was in need of a change but I could not change my life.

Jesus Christ was the answer I so desperately needed. Today I am a very happy person. I have seen God do miracles in my life in many different areas of my life. When I accepted God in m life, he had to reprogram and retrain me. The old ways in which I was used to dealing with things, he changed. I no longer have to go to the old ways of dealing with pain. I was brought up with a lot of pain. My Dad died when I was three and I was brought up by different family members.

I started getting sexually, physically, and emotionally abused from a very early age. I thought the way to deal with these emotions was to numb them with drugs an alcohol. My idea of releasing stress was to be with someone intimately. I was always looking for love in the wrong places. I thank God for having true love in Jesus Christ.

I saw many miracles in my life. My daughter, now fourteen, was healed from not being able to see, at all, from one eye. Today, she will be able to legally drive and I give God the honor and glory.

I was not able to have children when I asked Jesus Christ in my life, and the Lord gave me three beautiful children in addition to the precious little girl I had. I have two boys and two girls that the Lord gave me. My ten year old, Marco, we called him God’s promise. My seven year old, Daniel, is the man filled with the Holy Ghost and fire. I was confined to a bed during my entire pregnancy with him. I would not be able to carry him to full term. The Lord had other plans. He was born on my way to register my children to school. I did not know, but the Lord knew. He is a precious child.

Joy, my daughter, was supposed to be mentally retarded or blind. Her chromosomes are crossed but the Lord, in his sovereignty delivered her. The doctors tested me at five months and gave me the bad news. At birth, they tested her and said she would be ill. I continue to pray and the Lord completely healed her. He is so faithful. God is so good. If you don’t know him, give him a chance.
