Age 18

It seems on the road to life there are many speed bumps. I've been saved for over 5 years and enjoyed every year. I came from California, from a nice town but behind doors my dad was there, abusive and an alcoholic. There were times when we exchanged blows but he, being older, gained an advantage. At the age of 13 I accepted Christ. My mom, sister and 3 years later, father followed.
I graduated high school and maintained the fact that I was an eighteen year old virgin. I had also broke the chain of alcoholism and drugs in my family. Through my trials I've gained knowledge and through my poetry I try to show who I think God is. He is all powerful, in both the saved and unsaved life. No, my family isn't perfect and no, we don't live happily ever after, but we are assured of 3 hopes: Christ's death for our sins, his resurrection into glory and our final destiny with him, because of Jesus.
